My full name is Jeff Meuzelaar and I am all of twenty three years old. I was adopted from South Korea as a child and grew up in loving Christian home in Pella, IA. If you're wondering, yes, I am the Dutchest Asian you will ever meet - this photo is proof. I graduated Dordt College with my Bachelor's in Marketing in 2008 and am currently pursuing my Master's in Business Administration at the University of Sioux Falls. By day, I am employed full time at Click Rain as an online marketing strategist and by night I am a small business owner.
I started my DJ career at the age of sixteen in order to throw dances independently from my high school, since dancing was frowned upon by my school's administration. What started as a $1,000 loan from my father and a high school hobby quickly blossomed into a passion, lifestyle, and the most enjoyable business I can ever imagine owning.
In 2007, I acquired a partner and together we began to focus our company efforts on the Des Moines, IA DJ market. In 2008, our partnership dissolved and my former partner became the Iowa manager of our Des Moines location that currently employs four extremely talented DJs. After recently graduating college, I accepted a full-time job in Sioux Falls and left the remnants of my Des Moines DJ company under the management of my former partner. With my arrival in Sioux Falls, SD - Musical Edge DJ Service is now able to effectively serve the greater parts of South Dakota, Iowa, Minnesota, and Nebraska.
Over the course of my eight years as a mobile DJ, I have performed in front of hundreds of crowds at weddings, corporate events, private events, fundraisers, school dances, and even at a two concerts for Baby Huey. ("Pop Lock & Drop It"). I've made mistakes along the way, I've learned from my mistakes, and I am continually striving to become one of the top mobile DJs in the region.
